The Belmont Food Pantry will be open to ALL Belmont residents to distribute food on Saturday, March 21st starting at 8:30 a.m. with special limitations. Food donations can also be dropped off at the Belmont Food Pantry on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 am. In honoring the social distance mandate we will be setting up distribution as a drive-thru with everyone remaining in their car, pulling up to the volunteer to check in and another volunteer will put the two pre-packed bags, per family, into the car. Walkers are asked to not line up and keep a distance from each other in the School Administration Building area. The Food Pantry will be closed Sunday, March 22nd and Tuesday, March 24th, we will assess the situation and let everyone know the continued distribution process. Please send an email to if you have any questions, know anyone who is in need or you are in need of food. Monetary donations can be sent to the Belmont Food Pantry, PO Box 291, Belmont.

Belmont Housing Authority

The Belmont Housing Authority professionally manages a portfolio of 262 state aided public housing units of conventional housing which provides housing assistance for low-income families, veterans, elderly and disabled.


100 units of two and three bedroom veteran's and family housing

154 units of elderly and handicapped/disabled housing

8-bedroom duplex for the developmentally disabled thru the Department of Mental Health.

The Authority also administers 10 state aided Alternative Housing Voucher Program (AHVP) vouchers, and 47 federally aided Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers.

The Housing Authority Board is made up of 5 members, 4 of which are elected for overlapping 5-year terms while the fifth is appointed by the state. The Board sets policy and are the fiduciaries of the Authority. The full-time, salaried executive director oversees the day to day functions of the housing authority.
